Publication Ethics

Finance and Management Review (FMR) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and integrity. The journal follows the COPE Code of Conduct and best practice guidelines to ensure fairness, transparency, and credibility in the scholarly publication process.

1. Duties of Editors

  • Ensure fair and unbiased evaluation of all manuscripts based solely on academic merit, without discrimination.

  • Maintain confidentiality of all submissions and related correspondence.

  • Make publication decisions based on the manuscript’s originality, quality, and relevance.

  • Avoid conflicts of interest and recuse themselves from handling manuscripts where such conflicts exist.

2. Duties of Authors

  • Submit only original works that have not been published or submitted elsewhere.

  • Properly acknowledge all sources and avoid plagiarism in any form.

  • Disclose any financial or other conflicts of interest that may influence the research.

  • Ensure all co-authors have significantly contributed to the research and have approved the final manuscript.

  • Promptly notify the editor of any significant errors discovered after publication and cooperate in issuing corrections or retractions.

3. Duties of Reviewers

  • Provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations of submitted manuscripts.

  • Maintain confidentiality of all materials under review.

  • Declare any conflicts of interest and refrain from reviewing when such conflicts exist.

  • Avoid using unpublished data or information from manuscripts for personal advantage.

4. Plagiarism and Misconduct

  • All submissions are screened for plagiarism using reliable plagiarism detection software.

  • Cases of academic misconduct, including data fabrication, falsification, and unethical research practices, will be investigated in accordance with COPE guidelines.

  • Proven misconduct will result in rejection, retraction, and potential reporting to the authors’ institutions or funding bodies.
