Peer Review Policy

Finance and Management Review (Fin. Manag. Rev.) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic quality and integrity. The journal employs a Triple-blind peer review process to ensure objective and unbiased evaluation of all submissions.

1. Initial Editorial Screening

  • All manuscripts are first assessed by the editorial team for scope alignment, originality, structure, and adherence to the Author Guidelines.

  • Submissions failing to meet basic quality or ethical requirements (e.g., plagiarism threshold, incomplete references) are returned to authors before review.

2. Reviewer Selection

  • Reviewers are selected based on subject expertise, publication record, and absence of conflicts of interest.

  • Each manuscript is typically evaluated by two independent reviewers; a third may be invited if recommendations differ significantly.

3. Review Process

  • The journal follows a triple-blind approach: authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other.

  • Reviewers assess manuscripts based on:

    • Originality and contribution to the field

    • Methodological soundness

    • Clarity and coherence of presentation

    • Relevance to finance and management scholarship

    • Adequacy of references and supporting evidence

  • Reviewers provide constructive feedback to improve the manuscript, even if it is not accepted.

4. Review Timeline

  • Reviewers are expected to return their reports within 3–4 weeks of accepting the review assignment.

  • Authors receive a decision letter—accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject—accompanied by reviewer comments.

5. Confidentiality

  • All manuscripts and peer review reports are handled as confidential documents.

  • Reviewers may not share, discuss, or use the content prior to publication.

6. Ethical Guidelines

  • The journal adheres to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Core Practices for peer review.

  • Any suspected ethical breaches (e.g., plagiarism, data fabrication) reported during review will be investigated by the editorial board.

7. Final Decision

  • The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision based on reviewers’ recommendations, the manuscript’s overall quality, and its alignment with the journal’s aims and scope.
